Probably not, as Apple might not want to put resources into an outdated OS.

Well, it looks like Apple did put resources towards OS 15, sine they released iOS 15.8.4 about 2 weeks ago. Somehow, you must have missed that.

15.8.3 is the last security update that was released for iOS 15.

It was released on July 29, 2024.

Apple supports the current version and the 2 previously major versions of iOS.

iOS 15 is technically no longer supported.

It is possible that it could get a security update in the future if a major flaw is discovered, but don’t count on it.

If your company is running 15.8.3, you need to upgrade your devices to ones that are capable of running a supported version of iOS.

You cannot pick and choose a version of iOS. If you have an iPhone 6s Plus, you can update it to the latest release of iOS 15. If it is actually an iPhone 6 Plus (no "s"), you can only update it to the latest release of iOS 12.

Technically no, since last year in July, but some users have reported an update over the weekend which has kept the version number at 15.8.3 but left the iPhone at the "Hello" screen, typically seen after an update.

One can only guess what the update was, as there is no info about it on Apple's security update page, but I have seen a few reports on the forums about it, so its safe to assume something was updated.

We may get some more details further in the day.
