How do I get a refund for an unintended Apple Arcade subscription renewal?

Hello! I had a 3-month free subscription to Apple Arcade. After the free trial ended, the subscription renewed automatically and I was charged, even though I didn’t intend to continue it.

I canceled the subscription immediately after the renewal and did not use the paid service at all.

I also submitted a refund request, but I haven’t received a positive response. I would really appreciate your help in getting a refund, especially since I canceled right away and haven’t used the service.

Thank you!

I believe that it was a bad idea to wait until the subscription auto-renewed to cancel it.

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

  • "If you signed up for a free or discounted trial subscription and you don't want to renew it, cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends."

Unless you live in Germany, Israel, South Africa, or Turkey, you might just have to pay for this first month of Apple Arcade. (According to a Support article referenced in the above article, in those four countries, you can cancel a suscription at any time, and receive a pro-rated refund for the remainder of the subscription period.)

In any event, this is a user-to-user forum – we have no control over whether Apple gives you a refund.
