Apple Vision Pro as a Personal Computer/Laptop.

Can I use Apple Vision Pro as a personal computer, without having any laptop or Computer with me? I use mu current laptop for MS Teams & Zoom meetings, Youtube, MS Excel & Word and bunch of other PC stuff like storing my files and data.

I have been to apple store for getting a demo but the representative was refusing to show anything apart from their set videos, movies and VR experience.

I also want to know if I can connect a mouse to Apple Vision Pro, etc.

Vision Pro wouldn’t be my choice for those specified tasks. That given the head-mount design and weight, and the ~two hour general-use battery life. You’ll also need the developer strap if you need to access USB-C external devices.

iPad can do the same list. Battery life there is ~nine hours per charge, depending on the model. Maybe add a keyboard case, for when you’re doing heavy text input. (Though if you’re routinely text-heavy, a MacBook Air also becomes interesting.)

Hi!

Can it be used as a computer or laptop? Yes. You'll be able to join calls, go on YouTube (Through Safari), download apps such as Microsoft Excel and Word and manage your files through the Files App. You can even connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to make navigation and use much easier. You'll be able to see the keyboard when you're in an environment as well. The Apple Vision Pro brings a unique experience, as it is a spatial computer.

Now, Is it ideal? Eh. The battery life is only two hours and being comfortable can be a factor. You can hit some limitations being its Vision OS and not Mac OS, but based on your needs it sounds like you wouldn't really hit any as your using it for the 'basic needs'.

It might be fun at first but can get old quickly. Especially being you have to put it on every time you want to use the device. But there's only one way to find out and that's by purchasing it and using it for the two week return policy. Worst comes to worst you can return it, as long as it's within two weeks and free of damage. Just make sure to keep the packaging.

Hope this helps!
