iMovie - format for gloabe background using gps coordinates

I would like to use the Globe background as part of a travelogue, showing the journey from point A to point B each day, but it doesn't include all locations. I see I can use GPS coordinates and create custom labels, but not sure what the format should be. I have Latitude and Longitude in degrees and two digits of minutes (43.2 and 86.13, for example). Either I get an invalid choice, or the location is in the middle of the ocean. Documentation on this is scarce at best--HELP!

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.4

Hi,

Take a look at the thread in the link below and see if anything in there helps you. Particulary, read léonie's post in the thread about the settings and format of the coordinates:

Also, here's a website where you can type in your location and get the GPS cordinates. Try the website and see if you have the correct coordinates and format.

It might be that you need to use a comma for a number separator instead of a decimal point, depending on what region you have entered into your settings. I believe that Holland and Germany, and some other countries, use a comma for a number separator.
