Starkey Evolve AI 2400 won't pair with 2021 MacBook Pro with M1 chip and sequoia 15.4.1

According to Apple pages, Starkey AI 2400 hearing aids should pair with 2021 MacBook Pro with M1 chip running sequoia 15. I am running Sequoia 15.4.1. Following Apple instructions, after turning off my hearings aids (H/As), and toggling bluetooth and turning H/As back on, I can go into system settings >accessibility >hearing devices and myH/As will show up as an available device that is not paired. Searching will spin and spin and at some point, a connect button will appear if you mouse over the screen, but clicking the button (or sometimes just mousing over the spot) causes the H/As to disappear from available devices and the spinning continues.

Any suggestions on a fix? This is so frustrating. TIA.

If you haven't already: You may want to try following the guidance provided in the Apple Support article blow:

See how to: Use Made for iPhone hearing devices - Apple Support

Eg: says:

Mac

  1. Put your hearing device in pairing mode and bring it near your Mac.
  2. From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings.
  3. Click Accessibility in the sidebar, then click Hearing Devices on the right to begin searching for your hearing device. (Hearing Devices appears only if your Mac and macOS are compatible with MFi hearing devices.)
  4. When your hearing device appears in settings, click Connect."

Try tapping the H/As when they show up : (or can you just tap "not connected" to connect them ?)
