Why can't I add my Vanilla prepaid card to Apple Wallet?

So a few weeks ago I bought a vanilla prepaid card, and tried to add it to my apple wallet. Every time i try to add it it says my issuer doesnt support apple pay or something like that, but ive searched through many sources and they all say vanilla prepaid cards should be able to be added. Is there anyway i could fix this?
