How to share a 3-hour iMovie project with children from a 2017 iMac?

I just completed making an iMovie on my 2017 IMAC. The film's length is 3 hours 20 minutes long. I wish to share the project with my children. I have been unable to copy the file to a 32GB flash drive for a number of reasons, e.g. the file transfer is never completed; the photos and imbedded videos on the completed project are out of sequence; the audio but not the video is transferred.

What is the ideal way to copy the completed file to a medium or device that I can give to my children? I have worked on this project for months and am at my wits end. Please help.

HI,

Try sharing the movie to Google Photos. Then you can email a link to the movie to your children. They can open the link to view the movie on their computers, or mirror it on their large screen TV, or download it to a drive.

A duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes is O.K. for archival purposes but is too long for viewing in one sitting. You might consider splitting the movie in 3 or 4 parts at logical places -- i.e, Part 1, Part 2, etc.

If you movie is larger than 32 GB, you could try getting a larger flash drive, formatted ExFat for playing on both Windows and Apple devices.

Another option is to burn it to a DVD disc. You would need to split the movie into parts, as 3 hrs and 20 minutes is too large for a standard DVD.
