can't uninstall iTunes 12 in High Sierra
As I understand it, this is the procedure to uninstall iTunes 12 and replace with iTunes 10:
- Delete the iTunes app e.g. with AppZapper
- Install iTunes 10.7 (I have the dmg) using Pacifist to replace all its many files in the system.
That's all I would need to do as I have a folder in ~/Music named ‘iTunes 10’ which contains all the data that would normally be in the iTunes folder, including all the music, the library, etc, and which was the folder I used with iTunes 10 previously. I've never launched iTunes 12.
Unfortunately it’s failed at the first hurdle. AppZapper (nor ‘sudo rm –rf iTunes.app’) didn't delete iTunes 12. What if anything should I do now?
