Music App playlist Menus all Open Every Time

Ever since the last upgrade to the music app, every playlist defaults to open. And this is on top of the really annoying fact that the sidebar doesn't show anymore by default.

When I go through my playlists, every single one is open, and I have a lot of of them. So I have to sit there closing the groups so I can actually go and look at the ones further down without scrolling halfway till tomorrow.

Is there any way to get back to where they default to the last setting, or default to close? And for that matter, is there any way to make it to the side bar defaults to showing?

it feels like they are intentionally making it hard to navigate through my lists. I wish I could use a different app but I've been buying music from Apple for 25 years . So frustrating
