My Drum Kit Designer drops out in Logic Pro version 10.7.9

I notice the volume slider is set to -71db and when it plays it shoots up to 6db. I've checked the velocity setting for all regions are set to 80. When I play the regions are not playing all the time, they play in spurts.

I'm running Logic Pro version 10.7.9 on Mac OS Monterey 12.7.6.

This wasn't a brand new session. I was working with Drum Designer building regions. They played fine last last night. But now I noticed all the SW Instruments we dropping in and out. I ended up looking at buffer characteristics and realized the buffer was set very low. I made adjustments to a large buffer for working with the SW instruments and all is good now. I realize when I need to record I will need to lower the buffers. I expect I'll need to do bounces of the SW instruments and disable those tracks for the recording, correct?

Thanks for the ref!

The buffer is something you will certainly adjust, depending on the circumstance. Low and recording, high when mixing.

There are many different workflows. You can look into committing to Audio and also freezing your. Whatever approach you adopt, I highly recommend you start using project alternatives when you make any big changes or commitments to your sessions. Best of luck.
