No one here on this user to user only forum works for Apple. As such we have no information on how many have had this happen, nor do we know if Apple will replace screens under warranty. It is unlikely, but certainly not impossible. You'll have to take that up with Apple directly.

I had this problem. It appeared out of nowhere and gave my phone to an apple service centre yesterday and they checked it and approved the free replacement. I have a 13 pro max. Today ie, the next day after giving it for service they told me the phone was ready for pickup. I went and picked it up and got the phone with a new screen for free. Except a service charge they took which accounts for about 30 USD which they said that they would refund it back to me! Overall a Great Experience
