Does anyone know which is the best Symbol to get the Gold Spot Price using the Apple Stock formula. The "XAU/USD" symbol doesnt work. The "GC=F" Symbol works but it gives me the Futures Price. Any alternatives to get the real spot price in USD?
Numbers gets its data from Yahoo! Finance.
I remember years ago trying to find a symbol on Yahoo! Finance that would retrieve the spot price.
The closest I came was to use GLD as a proxy, applying a multiplier. It was good enough for showing trends over time.
The site Kitco has the spot price, but of course that won't work in STOCK. You have to input the value manually.
