I have over 675mb of storage used by iMessages and attachments. Must go back years.
How do I find the attachment (like you can with WhatsApp) to delete and reduce that storage?

To find and delete these attachments, you’ll need to go to iPhone Storage in settings. Go into Messages, and you will see the following screen:
The attachments can be found and deleted from the Photos and Videos sections, respectively.

On my iCloud it says All Messages... 677mb.
If I go to my iPhone, messages shows just 139MB.
How come?
if you have other devices from which you send messages, that’s probably where they come from.
Annoyingly its on my ipad. But when I go to Storage > Messages > Other... where 580mb is used, it comes up blank.
